01 The story, in three paragraphs

Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled along the picturesque Lungolago Zanardelli promenade in Salò, Caprice Uno invites guests to savor authentic Italian flavors with a stunning lakeside backdrop. Specializing in Italian and pizza cuisine, this charming restaurant combines the warmth of traditional recipes with contemporary dining comfort, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for a leisurely lunch or an intimate dinner.

Guests frequently praise the exceptional quality of the dishes, with highlights including a phenomenal char that melts in your mouth and a sumptuous wagyu burger that balances rich, tender beef with expertly seasoned accompaniments. The menu also features classic offerings such as hearty lasagne and delicate octopus with potatoes, catering to both familiar and adventurous palates. Each plate bursts with authentic Italian essence, enhanced by fresh, locally sourced ingredients that speak to the region’s culinary heritage.

What truly sets Caprice Uno apart is not just the food but the experience: comfortable, thoughtfully arranged seating offers unobstructed views of the shimmering lake, where gentle breezes add a refreshing dimension to your meal. The attentive, warm staff ensure every visit feels personal and relaxed, a welcome contrast to more perfunctory service elsewhere. Adding to the charm, guests receive an enticing assortment of warm focaccia, rolls, and crisp breadsticks that perfectly complement the meal’s flavors.

While some may find the pricing—especially for drinks and seafood options like the mixed seafood grill—a touch on the higher side, the exceptional quality and ambiance justify this indulgence. Diners should be aware of an included service charge, which underscores the attentive care delivered by the team. It's clear that Caprice Uno is not just a restaurant but a destination, a place where food, scenery, and genuine hospitality come together to create memorable dining moments.

Whether you’re a local or a traveler seeking an unparalleled lakeside Italian meal, Caprice Uno promises an experience rich in flavor, comfort, and breathtaking views—certainly worthy of repeat visits.

The best restaurant on the promenade for sure! The char was phenomenal. My husband’s wagyu burger was delicious as well. Can’t be the view and the seating was very comfortable. Staff was pleasant as well which is not something we’ve found at the other restaurants the other 5 nights of dining prior. Warm focaccia was served as well and rolls and breadsticks. We plan on going back for dinner with the kids it was so pleasant.

Great food, great view, and reasonably quick and attentive service. The bill ended up quite a lot more expensive than expected. Didn't study it in detail, but I'm assuming the drinks were rather expensive, as well as the breads that are always brought to the table. There was also a 13% service fee added on top if I remember correctly. So all in all, a good experience but prepare to pay almost double of the actual price of the food when you include non-alcoholic beverages and the fees.

Nice location overlooking the lake. The mixed seafood grill was expensive at EUR35 but tasty. The mixed salad was poor.

We came when they were closing but they served us very fast. Nice comfy tables and beautiful lake view with a bit of perfect wind. Lasagne was good and octopus with potatoes was very tasty.

Can not unterstand the 3.8 rating (2025). We (five, three of them children) had lunch. Nice view, very good pizzas and reasonable prices. Service was very good as well, especially with the children.
